History
Catholic Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd Sawantwadi. is registered under the Maharashtra Co-operative Society Act 1960. It was established by social reformer army retired Mr.Peter Francis Dantas and was blessed by Late his Lordship Ret. Rev. Bishop Valerian Dsouza, Bishop of Pune dioceses along with parish priest of Sawantwadi Late Rev Fr. John Saldhana on 6th October 1994 at Sawantwadi dist. Sindhudurg in a small room of Our Lady Of Milagris Church Sawantwadi. The main mission was to assist people in society during their financial crisis and to bring a massive change in people’s lifestyles., Catholic Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd Sawantwadi which was founded with just Rs. 35000 Share Capital. Now the society has reached upto 200 cr of deposit with its six branches of its own premises all over Sindhudurg district. The society is also providing core banking and net banking facilities to its customers.
